Conditioning Wax

Hand Drawn illustration of a Colza (Rapeseed) plant.

Behentrimonium Methosulfate (and) Cetearyl Alcohol

Why we use this:Conditioning Wax, BTMS-25, is an abbreviation for the vegetable-derived emulsifiers behentrimonium methosulfate and cetearyl alcohol. It produces thick, creamy emulsions that impart excellent softening and detangling properties to hair care products. It gives our conditioning bar a luxurious, wonderful feel, leaves hair silky and bouncy, and is gentle enough to use as a leave-in conditioner.

Behentrimonium methosulfate and cetearyl alcohol are both acceptable ingredients on the Whole Foods Market Quality Standards Body Care Ingredients list.
