Dishwasher Powder

My wife and I found Lovett Sundries's dishwasher powder in a local refill store, and loved it immediately because it's unscented, cleans our dishes well, and doesn't involve any plastic! We have since moved and just signed up for a subscription for this dishwasher powder because we love it so much. We also like to support small businesses whenever we can, so it feels great to buy such a wonderful product from hardworking folks. Highly, highly recommend!

I grabbed one of the dishwasher tins at a local store near me up in NY, and I quickly became obsessed. It does the job well with our mini dishwasher (literally, it's on our countertop), and I don't see us ever switching to a different brand now. Have just ordered more via this website.

Needs a rinse to go with it. Not as good as other natural products I’ve used.

I always try to use natural products in our home, but it turns out that some of them don't work very well. Dishwasher detergent in particular seems to be hit or miss, especially because we have hard water where we live. I think I may have found my forever detergent here, though, because this stuff really works! And I love that it isn't packaged in plastic at all, and I can get refills for this 100% adorable tin.

I've been looking for a chemical-free, plastic-free dishwasher soap and was really excited to try this one. I especially like that you can just buy refills. Unfortunately it doesn't get my dishes clean. If I don't scrub and/or wash the dishes before putting them into the dishwasher (which defeats the purpose of a dishwasher), they come out funky. It's most noticeable on white dishes. I've tried adding vinegar to the rinse cycle and cleaning the filter—no improvement. Currently I'm rewashing the entire last load (which was not remotely overpacked) with a different soap because the dishes were so grimy. I love the idea of this soap but in practice it wasn't a win for me.
